PSSA Pep Rally - CHOMP THE TEST

This years theme for our PSSA pep rally was "CHOMP THE TEST"
Our students did such an amazing job during the PSSA's. We are so proud of their hard work!

1st grade - Andy Warhol inspired Flowers

1st grade students viewed the work of Andy Warhol and discussed how he created images of popular items. Students learned to use cardboard as a stamp to create the grass in the background. They painted paper and cut multiple flowers out to create repetition.

how lovely are these?  HAPPY SPRING!

4th grade - Sandra Silberzweig Self Portraits

4th-grade students were introduced to contemporary artist Sandra Silberzweig and were inspired by her colorful, abstract portraits. 4th graders work with metal and sharpies to create these incredible portraits!

3rd grade - Zentangle Metal Patterns

3rd graders created their own unique patterns and replaced part of their pattern with a metal sheet. Students then traced their patterns into the metal and learned how to make a 2D piece of art into art with 3D qualities! They not only turned out beautiful but the students also enjoyed the process!!
