1st Grade Mondrian Project

First graders are now pros at identifying the primary colors.
They recently learned about artist, Piet Mondrian,  and viewed several of his primary color paintings. First graders talked about the geometric shapes that he uses and how he only uses black, white and the 3 primary colors.
Students are practicing how to properly use art room supplies such as,  glue and scissors to re-create their own version of Mondrian's work! They are all taking such a different approach I am so impressed!

5th Grade Sugar Skulls

Fifth Grade has been working so hard on creating vibrant, detailed sugar skulls. We had to take a hiatus from our Sugar Skull project due to a field trip, so they were not hung in time for Day of the Dead, but thats okay :) they are very close to finishing up!
