4th Grade Leaf Prints

Fourth graders are printing leaves using white tempera paint.

After students are finished printing their leaves they will outline the leaves in oil pastels and create a line pattern using repetition.

3rd Grade Fall Landscapes

3rd graders are learning about the parts of a landscape in order to create their own fall inspired night landscape.

Students colored on coffee filters with washable markers, then we sprayed them with water in order for the colors to bleed together. This will be the moon in their landscape. Students then wrote a story about the characters and small details they drew in their image.

2nd Grade Fall Leaves

Second graders are learning about warm and cool colors!
Students used a leaf template (or drew their own leaf) and will add pattern designs to their leaves by using warm colors on the inside of the leaf and cool colors around the outside of the leaf. In the final step of this lesson students will use a water color to add more color!

1st grade Color mixing!

First graders learned about the primary colors and are experimenting by mixing oil pastels in order to create new colors!
The next step in the project will be to experiment using red, yellow and blue tempera pain for our fall trees project!

After First graders learn how to mix the primary colors they experimented with tempera paints in order to create fall trees!
