2nd grade - Op art webs
2nd grade students created spider webs after looking at several different images of Op-Art for inspiration.
Instead of drawing with a pencil they drew the web with glue.
Students were required to create a color pattern when coloring their webs! Lastly, we create spider sculptures out of tin foil!
1st Grade - Color Monsters
1st grade students learned that the 3 primary colors create secondary colors when mixed with one another!
To experiment with color mixing students used markers on coffee filters and then sprayed them with water!
Watching the primary colors mix to create secondary colors was so exciting!

1st grade - Pattern Pumpkins
First grade practiced making line patterns and added them to each section of their fall pumpkins in order to create a pattern pumpkin!
Now we just need to add paint!
Monochromatic Portraits
Be uniquely you. Stand out. Shine. Be colorful!
We began each year with a school-wide project where each grade is assigned a different color and creates a self-portrait!
They look amazing and add so much color to our stairwell!
